The Thing - Infection at Outpost 31 preorder at Mondo for $lx. This is a re-issue later on the first product run sold out, which ran many years ago. This game was selling for $2-300 later the first run sold out in 2018 timeframe, and has not been in stock since and then. I retrieve the kickoff run sold out fast!

Mondo is GTG, I buy vinyl from them all the time.

It's expensive, nigh $80 shipped. I bought a copy, just demand to brand some friends so I can play it.

They probably aren't old enough for these types of games, and so.

The Outpost 31 game is pretty expert, but it doesn't actually capture the paranoia of The Thing, in my stance. This is primarily because the designers of Outpost 31 used a boiler plate "traitor" mechanic, which is non what The Affair is all about. My recommendation is "Who Goes In that location?" which is a similar lath game based on the book (The Thing'south original source cloth) and does a much better job at capturing that "Thing" experience because the players themselves tin infect other players. Don't accept my word for it, I really like the infection mechanic they designed for "Who Goes In that location?" but yous'll accept to cheque out a YouTube review of it to get a better idea of why it'south awesome.

I'm by *no* means a board game expert, merely a lot of these types of games share a common-ish ruleset or mechanic.

Not sure how little your kids are, simply my friend'southward 12 year olds picked upwardly Gloomhaven pretty quickly.

All of that is to say; >10 minutes to acquire a board game is quite common. Don't let that deter yous!

I still have my Collector's Edition Sealed. I bought a lot of stuff while not exactly in a place to actually play anything. Found out a few years after...they were worth a pretty penny.

I'm a yuge THE THING fan and would purchase this if I had friends to play with :(

Why can't we just become a new THE Thing video game likewise? The XBOX/PC game from almost xx years ago was really expert!

Why can't we only get a new THE THING video game too? The XBOX/PC game from nearly 20 years agone was really adept!

That game had quite practiced graphics and game play for the time. I honestly considered it on par with the resident evils and silent hills of the time.
