American vocalizer and songwriter Angie Stone has released eight studio albums, one compilation anthology, and more than two dozen singles. She has sold nigh five million records as a solo creative person, including over i.4 million albums in the Us.[i] Rock'south career began as a member of the hip hop trio The Sequence in the late 1970s. Her highest-charting international success, it entered the top xx in Belgium, Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands.[8] Its release was preceded by the unmarried "I Wanna Give thanks Ya" featuring Snoop Dogg, a tiptop five hit in Belgium and Stone's 2nd chart topper on the US Dance Lodge Songs.[5]

In 2005, Stone began recording what equally expected to become her 4th regular album, but was eventually transferred to her first compilation album Stone Hits: The Very Best of Angie Rock which compromised songs from her beginning iii albums.[9] With "I Wasn't Kidding", the anthology produced one single.[v] Post-obit her departure from J Records, Stone signed with Stax Records and released The Art of Honey & War. Her highest-charting attempt since 2007'due south The Art of Love & War, it debuted and peaked at number 59 on the US Billboard 200 and number three on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.[12] The anthology produced two singles, including "2 Bad Habits."[5] The post-obit year, Stone recorded and released her next studio album Covered in Soul through Goldenlane Records which compromised comprehend versions of popular Phil Collins, Hot Chocolate, and Neil Diamond songs. Preceded by the single "These Optics", a comprehend of the same-titled The Guess Who song, information technology failed to chart.[13] Total Circle, Rock's ninth studio anthology, is set for a July 12, 2019 release.[14]
